MR MORRIS KUSOTERA
ATS Chief Executive Officer
Morris Kusotera is the Chief Executive Officer of the African Tourism Showcase. Morris has over 20-years’ experience of working in the United Kingdom and also in the islands of Alderney and Guernsey both located in the Channel Islands. Morris worked in healthcare delivery and service improvement within the British National Health Service (NHS), the Public, Palliative, Prison and Private sectors.
Morris is a viable systems strategist that manages projects through Polarprojects a dedicated service for Individuals, Companies and Charities. In one of his popular illustrations of managing a social healthcare organisation, Morris applied concepts in chaos and complexity sciences, organizational modelling and Stafford Beer’s Viable System Model to create efficient healthcare processes.
Morris is the Executive Director of Polarplus Healthcare Limited. He is also the Projects Manager and Director responsible for Strategy and Development for Eye Health Africa CIC, an eye healthcare social enterprise for vulnerable communities in Africa. Eye Health Africa is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales and has recently been registered in Uganda, East Africa.
Academically and professionally, Morris has an Executive MBA in Health Services Management from the University of Hull, a BSC Honours in Statistics, a Higher National Diploma in General Nursing from the University Brighton, and other certifications including the PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments Version2). A previous airline statistician and planner, Morris has certificates in airline planning, airline finance and aircraft economics.
Morris is also accredited as the principal Co-Project Lead in the conceptualisation of the social enterprise that took over closed school premises worth £2-million in Yorkshire, England through a Local Council transfer sale with a 125-year Lease at a peppercorn price of £1 and turned the assets into a community business centre, and in the process earning the title of “the biggest Community Asset Transfer in Europe”. Morris is a previous Mentor for the London’s King College – India Mentorship program. He is the current Lead of the newly formed UK Prison Health Focus, a dedicated coaching and mentorship service for UK prison health professionals.

Dr Boikanyo Trust Phenyo is the ATS Director for the Community Responsibility and Brand Alignment. Dr Boikanyo is a lifestyle specialist who works with people who want to improve their lifestyles. She does this through advice, support, encouragement, and guidance using holistic approach on diet & nutrition, fitness, and relaxation. She believes that it is important that you love yourself and look & feel great in everything that you do. Dr Boikanyo is an educationist who specialised in Mathematics and Physics. She has teaching experience gained within the UK systems.
Dr Boikanyo is an experienced crisis counsellor: working with people who find themselves facing life crisis. Passionate about giving back to the community, Boikanyo is one of the leaders running the Botswana Community (UK) – a charitable community project whose mission is to promote Botswana culture in the UK. Dr Boikanyo is a successful model and beauty queen turned pageant director who specialises in choreography for the catwalk and the beauty pageant stage. She has much experience managing models and beauty queens. She has appeared as a VIP-Judge for many prestigious pageants all over the country.
Dr Boikanyo has moderated for the Launch of Eye Health Africa CIC and also for the African Tourism Showcase Series-1. Dr Boikanyo was honoured in 2013, by being invited to the Commonwealth Nations Reception given at Buckingham Palace by the late Queen Elizabeth II and the late Duke of Edinburgh and met the entire Royal Family. She has appeared on numerous TV Shows and won several awards including a Peace Missionary by the Diplomatic Mission, Peace and Prosperity.

Ms Mmatsatsi Ramawela is the ATS Director responsible for the Hospitality and Hotel Portfolio. Ms Mmatsatsi Ramawela is the former CEO of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa. Mmatsatsi is also the current President of the Southern African Chapter of the International Institute of Peace Through Tourism, whose Patron is Dr Taleb Rifai.
Ms Mmatsatsi Ramawela spent almost 30 years of her career in the travel and tourism industry. Her journey within the travel and tourism sector started with various positions in marketing and product development from 1995 when she joined the South African National Parks; onto KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority and Limpopo Tourism and Parks between the years of 2000 and 2005.
She moved into the private sector in 2006 when she joined the Tourism Business Council of South Africa until her departure in 2018. Amongst the highlights of her time at the TBCSA is organising and hosting the Hotel Investment Conference Africa (HICA) between 2007 and 2015. Ms Ramawela holds a Master’s degree in Leadership in Emerging Economies from the University of Johannesburg.
Ms Ramawela is currently serving on the following committees;
• Tourism Transformation Council of South Africa as Chair of the funding committee;
• National Tourism Minister’s Advisory Panel reviewing the national tourism policy.
• Gauteng Tourism Authority’s Board of Directors
• Black Management Forum and the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Mmatsatsi Ramawela is an honourable member of tourism network and is an amazing contributor towards the development of African tourism.
MS BUNNY BHOOLA
ATS Associate ( African Link )
Ms Bunny Bhoola, is the ATS Associate ( African Link ) . She is tasked with making ATS into a leader in Meetings and Conferences through her experience and knowledge gained over many years.
Ms Bunny Bhoola is the Founder and Managing Director of African Link and is a long-term tourism champion in South Africa. She originally trained as a hairdresser and a beautician. She started her business selling bus tickets from her beauty salon. She proceeded build her company African Link Travel to employ over 20 people.
Ms Bunny Bhoola went on to win many Travel Industry awards, including Winner Top 100 Women In Tourism In Africa. She is now well known in the South Africa Travel Industry and Abroad. Bunny is on the Pietermaritzburg Gandhi Memorial Committee and is on the National BEE Council for Tourism.
In 2023, Bunny is accredited as one of the organizers for the first international conference to bring the legacies of three great Consciousness Personalities under one roof, namely Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King under the 2023 Gandhi Mandela King Conference in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Bunny Bhoola also won the most innovative Award at the Indaba 2022 event for conducting the Freedom Walk Tour of KwaZulu-Natal.
African Link has recently has launched the African Link Tourism Academy whereby young tourism professionals will be trained and accredited by the South African Ministry of Education and Ministry of Tourism.
